My medicine cabinet is chock-full of self-tanners, bronzers and "subtle glow" lotions, and none of them hold a candle (UV ray?) to Dove's gradual tanning lotion. After one or two 'applications', your tan is already full-on and streak-free. I apply it liberally because it is a lotion, after all -- It doesn't deliver a yellow- or orange-brown, but a red-brown, which is the most natural tan of all. The best part is that it dries quickly and doesn't carry any of the negatives that accompany regular self-tanners, so no major stains on your sheets, horrid smell or major damage if you DO flub while applying it. It's inexpensive, too. I bought it on a whim in the drugstore and it turned out to be a miracle! You really will be OK with reliquishing other self tanners and tanning beds once you discover this.

So I am trying Lavera products. I got this self-tanner, the texture is good, like a body lotion. It has a kinda sweet smell instead of the stinky self-tanner smell. It goes away quick too... The color, I only applied once and I could see a glow by the end of the day. I applied it a few times in a row, and even though it didn`t give me the darkest of colors, it gave me a really nice medium brown even tone. My skin is pretty fair by the way. So for me it is a good, natural, medium brown color. (I think the best to do if you want to go really-really deep, is that you apply this 1-2 times to get the EVEN medium brown color, and buy the Sun Laboratoires (I have that too) really dark tanner that works as you put it on. If you apply that on white skin and you miss a spot, you really can see it, this way it is all brown already!)...So this has good, natural ingredients! I like it a lot!

My friends asked me how I keep my legs tanned all the time and they were surprised when I told them it was from a sunless tan. It looks real and it's easy to apply. No odor, never transfers onto clothing. Natural color on fair skin-never too dark. Exfoliate well in shower. Rub dab of regular, non-tanning lotion into kneecaps, elbows. Wait a couple minutes, then apply one pump at a time and allow tanner to be absorbed into skin. Leaving wet streaks will result in...streaks. No need to wait more than a minute or two before dressing.

Color does not fully develop until next day. Have ordered this for 5 years. Leftovers don't color as well a year later, so don't skimp in order to hold over a season.

I bought this on Ebay originally. I have Eczema, so self tanning is difficult for me. It always either breaks me out into rashes or cracks and peels. I tried Dove and Aveeno, but they both were too fragrant for my skin. This has very little fragrance, and is actually moisturizing. I love the color, never orange. I notice a difference after one application (takes an hour or two) - but typically I'll use it twice a day on my face. Highly Recommended.

I was very pleased with this product! I would buy again. I am fair skinned and don't really get a dark, golden tan in the sun. I got nice color in one application and prefer the color in two applications. I pre-lotioned my feet, elbows and knees (only) before application and had no problems. It has a very light, fresh scent and I only noticed a starchy odor after 8 hours, which showered off just fine. My skin was so soft after using it too. I like to get spray tans but can't keep up the once a week routine I would require to keep color, so this is a great at-home product. I plan on taking with me on vacation. I wish I could find this in drug stores or will be eligible for the free shipping through Amazon in the future.

My search for the best self-tanner, one that leaves skin looking sun-kissed without an orange hue, has lead me to this product. I tried a countless # of self-tanners, from drugstore brands to pricey high-end ones, and none compared to the results I received with this product. This leaves skin with a natural looking tan, a color that I would achieve by spending hours out in the sun (I am olive complexed). I initially used this 3 nights in a row (apply before bedtime) to achieve my desired color and have been re-applying twice weekly to maintain. There are 2 products that are "recommended" that you use before applying the bronzant that I didn't bother wasting my $ on since this is pricey enough (hence the 4 stars).

I have been using this tanner for probably 5 years now. I have tried probably 15 different brands & this is by far the best. With regards to streaking, you have to rub the lotion in. I run the water in the sink while applying & wet my feet, ankles & knees as well as anywhere where I want to feather out the lotion.

The lotion is tinted with a greenish base to offset the orange color that tends to occur with self tanner giving a very natural color. This tinting will wash off as would any lotion. You'll notice it because it is tinted.

In several applications you will have a medium to dark tan depending on your skin color.
