Acrylics made for tanning beds are UV transmitting. This means that the plastic allows ultraviolet light to pass through the acrylic. Do not buy a clear plastic sheet of glass at a local plastic company. Most of the plastics these companies carry have a UV coat that "prevent" ultraviolet light from passing through.
