Manufacturers focus on ingredients that help to build your base tan. One of the main ingredients found in indoor tanning lotions is L-Tyrosine.
People have asked if you can also use these indoor tanning lotions outdoors. The answer is yes, but for a limited amount of time. Keep in mind that these lotions were designed to be used in a timed environment, therefore, they do not have any SPF to protect you from burning. They work in tanning beds because you are only exposed for a short amount of time.
