Here we review the Jetsun solar charger 16750 mAh charger and inbuilt battery with its compact solar panel. This is a power charger that you can recharge its battery from a wall socket to use in the field and at any time top it up by using sunlight during the day.
I like its portability, durability and price relative to other solar chargers.
It comes with dual USB output ports, which you can use to charge your cell phone and another device at the same time.
There's a built-in LED light that serves as a nightlight and there is an indicator that shows you the amount of charge left in the power bank. It is a fantastic portable solar charger companion for walking trips, and it's so handy for camping.
Jetsun Solar Charger 16750 mAh Review
The standard Jetsun Solar Charger 16750 mAh has a rugged cover giving shock proofing and dust proofing and is waterproof. It takes between 8 and 10 hours to charge the Jetsun's inbuilt battery but it will recharge a completely discharged smartphone in just two hours.
A Jetsun 16750 mAh mobile phone sized solar battery charger can be left on your vehicle’s dashboard while you go from here to there. It charges the inbuilt battery in direct sun so you will have the freedom that comes with having portable power.
Sometimes, even with your usual forward planning, you might drive somewhere, get out and realise the battery on your phone is low. With the Jetsun charger on hand you will fully recharge a dead mobile phone in less than 2 hours.
Flexible Go Anywhere Jetsun Solar Charger
Maybe you are the organized type that never goes out without doing the basic checks; keys, wallet, watch and confirmed the mobile battery status.
However, your companion mobile phone with its power draining must-have apps, GPS, camera and Google maps can draw out power while you are walking about. A portable battery pack like this Jetsun can make a positive difference.
This Jetsun mobile solar charger can help you stay on top of your game and remain unstressed. Simply plug it into the phone and top up your batteries. The battery solar panel charger works as you drive around or when you are parked.
Unlike a solar panel, you won’t want to leave your mobile phone for any duration in the sun while doing this recharge. The lithium batteries don’t react well to the heat. This pocket-sized charger is as awesome as having a working mobile power point.
The Jetsun 16750 mAh Portable Solar Charger
This device has many 5 star feedback customer ratings that put it in the top 5 among portable solar chargers. It is a waterproof solar panel suited to rough variable weather conditions.
This durable mobile solar charger is ideal for camping and picnics, or supporting the outdoor equipment you like to take hiking or to activities like climbing.
I have taken my charger on flights. Yes, it is allowed in your carry-on bag. It’s a great little portable battery to charge an I-phone while you are on the flight to the worksite. Don’t rely on the solar panel charger unless you can position it in full sun and leave it to recharge. I find it is best to do that while you are busy doing other things.
Unless you are just for topping it up between usages, I found it’s extremely slow to charge anything from the panel . I recommend plugging your Jetsun battery charger into a wall socket if possible, especially after heavy usage during a day. Usually, I leave the solar charger in my car while I'm driving around the work site and then place it such that the sun works to put a little power into the battery.
I don’t carry a backpack so while I am walking about I plug my mobile phone into the Jetsun 16750 mAh solar charger and put both devices into the leg pocket of my cargo pants. Unless the Jetsun panel is continuously in full sun its not going to charge the device itself, let alone a secondary device from using sun power.
Yes, with both a phone and the Jetsun charger in the same pocket the leg pocket does seem a bit bulky.
The built-in flashlight has come in handy for finding things in the cab of my work vehicle, particularly later in the day. Most of the stuff I've put on the seat ends up on the floor or under the seats.
It is a solidly constructed solar charger that will power two portable devices together when you are away from the convenience of a power point.
Charging time of the Jetsun from empty by wall outlet: 8 to 10 hours
Pros Of The Jetsun Solar Charger16750mAh
One of the lower priced solar chargers with a built-in battery.
The green light glows when it's receiving light and charging slowly. Put it in the dark and it will turn off automatically.
When it's charging, the solid lights show the proportion charged, with one light indicating 25% and other lights flashing show the proportion still to charge. When all lights turn solid blue, it is fully charged.
You need to charge the JETSUN solar charger fully through a power outlet for 10-12 hours before its first use.
However, if you don't, it will still charge in full sun, but oh so slowly (gets to 20-30% after 8 hour day using the solar panel in full sun).
Recommendation & Jetsun 16750 mAh Review Wrap
I like the Jetsun solar charger 16750 mAh for its portability and power.
This small solar charger is good for travlling. It’s a big plus for me having a quick mobile charge available at the end of my fingers when I’m out walking. With heavy phone use I have had to charge the phone from this battery in mid-afternoon. The power from this little charger will top up any mobile phone from dead flat in a few hours when you are out and about.
A good thing about this device is that it’s so durable it takes being dropped from the front pocket of a shirt onto a concrete pavement while picking up a fallen pen and yes, it's a surprisingly heavy battery for its size.
Because its solar panel is small the built-in battery won’t charge quickly using the solar alone. That’s not been a problem for me and I find it works best to initially charge it to 100% using a fixed power wall plug-in. Once charged it is there for the ongoing needs of any mobile device recharge.
Even wall power will take the Jetsun a good 6 to 8 hours to fully charge from a low charge base. In direct sun the device will charge slowly to top it up, which is handy when there is no power point is available anywhere.
This little power pack is good value for the price. It is a low cost portable solar charger that will do the job on a day-by-day basis. The Jetsun charger is a basic emergency recharging battery with a small solar panel on the front and excellent for having when you travel.
